It seems like everyone I know has a cold, including me. I hate the runny stuffy nose, the headache behind your eyes that won’t go away, the constant sniffling and most of all, the exhaustion. I feel as if I could sleep for a million years right now.
At the first sign of sickness, I do my best to try and lessen the symptoms, which includes lots of lemon and raw honey. It seems to help a bit or at least shaves a few days off of being sick. Until recently though, it didn’t occur to me to make a smoothie. I’ve been missing out big time!
This Cold Buster Green Smoothie is high in zinc, vitamin C, amino acids, minerals, and lauric acid, which boost immunity. Plus, it’s creamy, has a warming effect from the ginger and taste freaking amazing. I recommend you use raw honey and coconut butter because the less pasteurization the better.
For the citrus, you can use grapefruit, oranges, what have you. This is your own journey to wellness so taste and adjust to your liking. Some days, I’m feeling less honey and or more ginger – however you choose this Cold Buster Green Smoothie will go down easy. Enjoy!
