Welcome to the first Tuesday of 2016! Did you guys make any resolutions for the new year? I never have really done that before, but there are two areas I’m gonna concentrate more on; my health and my career.
As a food blogger, I consume a daily amount of sugar, and carbs. While it tastes wonderful in the moment, I don’t feel my best in the long run. I’m trying to incorporate a healthy dose of fruits, veggies, and protein into my diet. Along with a proper exercise plan, like yoga 3x times a week because, running and the gym are my idea of a nightmare.
If you too are on a health kick, then I have the perfect recipe for you!
This Citrus and Pomegranate Salad is refreshing, easy and has zero processed sugar. If you want to sweeten it up, you can drizzle a dash of honey on top. However, I don’t feel like it needs it.
The sour grapefruit with the orange slices, and pomegranate seeds is basically my new favorite yogurt topping. Adding crushed walnuts also adds a dose of good for you fats. Enjoy!
If you decide to take a chance on this Citrus and Pomegranate Salad don’t forget to #youngbrokehungry on Instagram so I can see it. High Five!
