First of all before we dive into this scrub, I want to say thank you for your sweet comments on my last post. I am perfectly fine, just dealing with a lack of creativity due to the 90-degree weather outside. Nonetheless, it seems as if I can’t stay out the kitchen for long. Yesterday, I baked a loaf of bread, cookies and some banging nachos. The creative juices are following again! Hallelujah! Now lets move onto this Pumpkin Pie Scrub.
I am a huge fan of making my own scrubs. They are incredibly easy and cost very little compared to the super high-end scrubs at retail stores. The best part though is that they are comprised of ingredients you probably already have on hand. Most of the time, I don’t use vitamin E oil simply because it’s not something I have in stock. Another perk of this Pumpkin Pie Scrub, its highly adaptable. No coconut oil? Use olive oil. You ran out of pumpkin pie spice. Use cinnamon and nutmeg. See! Easy. Plus walking around smelling like pumpkin pie isn’t so bad either. Have fun!
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vitamin E, oil (optional)
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- Combine all the ingredients in an airtight container and mix until throughly blended. It will keep for up to 2 months in a cool dry place.
