What’s more impressive then a box of chocolates? Chocolate Dipped Pears. They only take 15 minutes to prepare with chilling time and they look so elegant. I prefer a homemade gift over store-bought any day. It shows that the person took the time to make you something special and that to me means everything.
For presentation sake, you could put the Chocolate Dipped Pears in red cellophane bags. Then attach a little love note to the top with some string. If my boyfriend gave me this, I would shower him with kisses. Don’t have a ball and chain? Then swap out the love note and give the pears to your best friend or favorite teacher. Everybody deserves some L-O-V-E on Valentines Day.
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 ounces dark chocolate ( preferably at least 70 percent coca), chopped
- 4 small pears
Optional: Coconut, crushed oreos, white chocolate drizzle, crushed nuts, ect.

Anything that’s been dipped in chocolate is a winner in my book. Well, almost anything.
